SDF Joint Concerts for Juveniles

JMSDF Band

The MOD/JSDF held the SDF Joint Concerts for Juveniles at Showa Women’s University Hitomi Memorial Hall on November 28th and 29th and at Bunkamura Orchard Hall located in Shibuya on December 24th as alternative events for the JSDF Marching Festival 2020, which was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Wind-instrument music, mainly composed of classic music, was performed in the concerts. Also, for each performance, maximum audience size was restricted to 50% of the full capacity of each venue, as one of the measures to avoid creating the “Three Cs” environment in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

The audience enjoyed the wonderful performances delivered by each SDF band with all the skills they had.

The JSDF bands will continue to conduct music performance activities as music bands familiar to the people in Japan.
