Professional Airmanship Program
The “Professional Airmanship Program (PAP)”, which invites air force officers from ASEAN countries and officials from the ASEAN Secretariat, is part of practical defense cooperation under Vientiane Vision 2.0, the guiding principle for Japan-ASEAN defense cooperation, and Japan-ASEAN Ministerial Initiative for Enhanced Defense Cooperation (JASMINE) which presents specific defense cooperation in line with the spirit of Vientiane Vision 2.0.
Through activities such as symposium, this program aims to contribute to regional stability by promoting mutual understanding and confidence among the air services of Japan and ASEAN and contributing to ensuring the rule of law in the Indo-Pacific region.
