Capacity Building for the Vietnam People’s Navy

On December 13th, the MOD/JSDF conducted a workshop on undersea UXO clearance onboard the Minesweeper Tender JS Bungo called at Da Nang, Vietnam.

This workshop is part of the Capacity Building program for the Vietnam People's Navy, which the crew members of the ship introduced the JMSDF's system of undersea UXO clearance, education system for EOD members of the JMSDF and functions of the JMSDF minesweeper.

The MOD/JSDF will promote to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen cooperation with Vietnam through such workshop to ensure peace and stability of Japan and the region.
