Pacific Partnership 2019
The MOD/JSDF participated in the Pacific Partnership 2019 (PP19) led by the U.S. Navy in Marshal, East Timor and Vietnam from early March to mid-May.
From April 27th to May 5th, JSDF personnel were dispatched to East Timor to lecture on Women, Peace and Security (WPS).
From May 6th to 17th, JSDF personnel engaged in joint medical examination and opinions exchanges on medical skills with local medical staff and medical personnel from other participating countries in Vietnam.
Also, the AED Donation Ceremony was held as a part of the PP19 on May 9th. The AEDs were donated by Health and Global Policy Institute, a Japanese NGO participated in the PP19 with MOD/JSDF, and they are expected to contribute to the health in Vietnam nationals.
Participation of JS SUZUTSUKI in the International Fleet Review Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Liberation Army Navy
On April 23rd, JS SUZUTSUKI (DD 117) participated in the International Fleet Review commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army Navy.
The MOD/JSDF will advance defense dialogues and exchanges and promote mutual understanding and trust with China.
