JMOD began this program in 2014 to contribute to the Mongolian Army’s road construction training, which is required for their deployment to UN peacekeeping operations.
For the first three years (Phase 1), JMOD provided road construction training such as land surveying, design of roads, constructing gravel and asphalt roads.
From 2017, as a second phase, JMOD started road construction training which includes methods to build road drainage to support the Mongolian Army acquire advanced skills to accommodate various situations in the actual PKO field. JMOD provided not only road construction training but also instructors’ training, so that the Mongolian Army can construct road independently in the future.
In the first term of this year program, JMOD offered guidance and advice for Mongolian instructors who gave students road construction training. In the latter term, JMOD will support Mongolian Army attendees build road construction including drainage, based on a construction plan prepared during this first term.
