Program Outline

Period11 - 20 February, 2016
Location Ministry of Defense
JGSDF Engineer School
Recipient8 Mongolian Army personnel

The JMOD invited 7 trainees and a commissioner from the General Staff Headquarters of the Mongolian Army to Japan, following the successful implementation of an in-country dispatch program approximately 6 months ago during the summer of 2015.
As we did in the FY2015 invitation program, the trainees were selected from high achieving engineering supervisors, surveyors and heavy machine drivers.
This program aimed to provide participants with the essential skills for asphalt laying. The JMOD provided a basic class about asphalt laying and practical training, initially using sand as asphalt, and later using actual asphalt under JGSDF direction.
The participants in this program will contribute to the final asphalt laying program scheduled to be conducted in Mongolia during the summer of 2016, as assistants to the JGSDF instructors.
