The JMOD held a seminar on HA/DR onboard JS “Izumo (DDH183)”, which was visiting Port Klang, Malaysia, as part of its defense cooperation program with the Malaysian Armed Forces with the objective of exchanging JSDF experience in disaster response, such as joint operations in disaster relief and the utilization of search and rescue equipment, the seminar contributed to the strengthening of defense cooperation between Japan and Malaysia. The seminar was also attended by US military officers and JICA officials with HA/DR expertise as observers.
