On September 18, 2026, Mr. IMAKYUREI Manabu, Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency (ATLA) Commissioner, participated in the 3rd IISS Prague Defence Summit.
Commissioner Imakyurei participated in the Plenary Session “Europe´s Evolving Defence Industrial And Innovation Ecosystem” as a panelist. He stated the inseparability of the security of the Euro-Atlantic and the Indo-Pacific, and the importance of cooperation with allies and like-minded partners toward the enhancement of defense production and technology bases. He also discussed a range of issues with other panelists. In addition, Commissioner Imakyurei also exchanged views with defense, national security, and industry leaders during the IISS Prague Defence Summit.
With the recognition that the security of the Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific is inseparable, Japan Ministry of Defense will continue deepening cooperation with allies, like-minded countries and defense industries to strengthen defense production and technology bases.

IISS Prague Defence Summit is an international forum hosted by IISS (The International Institute for Strategic Studies), designed to inspire debate on the issues affecting Euro-Atlantic defense capability development from perspectives including defense innovation and procurement. The 3rd IISS Prague Defence Summit was held in Prague this year, convening defense, national security and industry leaders mainly from the Euro-Atlantic region.
