JMOD/JSDF invited 6 members involved in aviation rescue from Vietnam Air Defence - Air force to Japan to conduct a capacity building project on Air Rescue. Participants visited Matsushima Air Base, where they received briefings on equipment and aircraft. Participants also boarded a UH-60J rescue helicopter to observe training for air rescue.
This project, which began in 2017 and is now in its eighth time, serves as the culmination of efforts aimed at sharing Japan Air Self Defense Force’s knowledge and skills related to air rescue with Vietnam Air Defence - Air force, with the objective of enhancing Vietnam’s response capabilities to aviation and maritime accidents, as well as natural disasters.
JMOD/JSDF continue to strengthen relations between Japan and Vietnam.
