15 members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) and 2 MOD official

Fifteen Members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) joined Exercise Hari’i Hamutuk 22 in Timor-Leste as a part of defense cooperation. JGSDF members led the Vehicle Panel Beating, Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Horizontal Construction courses and assisted Timor-Leste Defence Force to improve their engineering capabilities. “Hari’i Hamutuk” means “Building Together” in Tetum (the national language of Timor-Leste), and about 230 personnel from 5 countries participated this year.
