14 Members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) joined Exercise Harii Hamutuk 18, in Timor-Leste as a part of capacity building assistance to Timor-Leste. JGSDF members led the Survey and Heavy Equipment Maintenance Course and participated in building project with Timor-Leste, Australia, United States personnel. "Harii Hamutuk" means "Building Together" in Tetum, the national language of Timor-Leste, which brought together approximately 150 personnel of 4 countries. Participants worked together and learnt from each other during the exercise.
