JSO and GSDF Medical Staff, along with Australian Defence Force personnel, participated in the Medical Program of USA-PHL Bilateral Exercise 'BALIKATAN 2018' as part of the JMOD's Capacity Building Assistance to the Philippines. This was a joint program held by the US, ADF and the AFP to improve the Philippines' medical capability. The JSDF contributed to the efforts to improve the AFP's medical capability through medical assistance in Central Luzon.
