Military Music Training

Program Outline

 The JMOD/JSDF has been conducting the music education program for the Papua New Guinea Defence Force Band since 2015. It is the first effort of its capacity building history to make a commitment to build a unit of foreign forces. As the last phase of the three and half year program, Japanese instructors gave training to brush up the band members' skills required to perform during the APEC 2018 held in November 2018 in Papua New Guinea.
 On 17 November, in front of the APEC Leaders at the Gala Dinner venue, the PNG Military Band made wonderful performance and welcomed all APEC Leaders.
