The JMOD held its Aviation Meteorology Seminar in the Meiktila Air Base as part of its capacity building cooperation to the Myanmar Air Force (MAF). This seminar covered lectures on "Weather Statics" as well as practical trainings for developing "Weather Forecast Information Reports." The seminar contributed to advance the MAF's aviation meteorology capacity, through a series of technical information exchanges.
The JMOD/Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) has been cooperating with the MAF to establish its own Weather Unit.
