The JMOD held its Aviation Meteorology Seminar in Meiktila as part of its capacity building assistance to the Myanmar Air Force (MAF). The JMOD/Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) is supporting the MAF to establish its own Weather Unit through a series of technical exchanges. This seminar covered "human resource development", "aviation weather", "satellite image analysis", "weather support for air operations", and "procedures for developing forecasts", as well as practical training in developing a cross section chart. The seminar contributed to advancing the MAF's aviation meteorology capacity.
