The JMOD/SDF conducted meteorology and oceanography training programs. Indonesian navy personnel inspected Japan's submarine rescue ship Chiyoda, equipped with an underwater survey system, at the MSDF Oceanographic Command. They learned about surveying data acquisition and analysis procedures at the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Department in the Japan Coast Guard. They also received briefings on geo-environmental activity simulation at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology as well as visiting relevant private companies.
