Since 2012, the JMOD and GSDF have been providing civil engineering training and technical support, such as road construction training, to the Cambodian Military in support of Cambodia’s United Nations Peace Keeping Activities. This year, the JMOD/GSDF provided a 3-week road survey training course to seventeen RCAF personnel. The trainees were eager to participate in the program and brush up on the survey skills they acquired during a JMOD 2017 and 2018 course on measuring devices, and essential drawing skills. On 22nd July, closing ceremony was held with the presence of H.E. Mr. Tea Banh, Minister of National Defense, Cambodia and Mr. Yasunori Nishida, Vice-Minister of Defense for International Affairs, Japan.
