On October 19th, 2026, State Minister of Defense Kiyoshi Odawara received a courtesy call from General Wilsbach, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, and welcomed his visit. They discussed flexible air dispersal and joint exercises, reaffirming continued Japan-U.S. cooperation to strengthen the deterrence and response capabilities of the Japan-U.S. Alliance.
