1. Visit to the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO)
On 28 August 2026, State Minister Miyazaki visited the South Camp of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO), where he met with and encouraged the four Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) personnel dispatched to the MFO and exchanged views on the activities of the Japanese contingent. He also held a meeting with Major General Garraway, MFO Force Commander and reaffirmed the importance of the MFO's activities in the region.
2. Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum on Defense Cooperation and Exchange between Japan and the Arab Republic of Egypt
On 29 August 2026, State Minister Miyazaki met with Major General Walaa Adel Abo Al-Farg Bibers, Assistant Minister of Defense for Foreign Relations and attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum on Defense Cooperation and Exchange between Japan and the Arab Republic of Egypt. Following the signing ceremony, they held a meeting and confirmed their commitment to further promoting defense cooperation and exchanges across a wide range of fields based on the Memorandum signed on this occasion.
3. Visit to the Egyptian Military Academy
On 29 August 2026, State Minister Miyazaki visited the Egyptian Military Academy, where he received a briefing on the Academy's initiatives and exchaged views on education.
4. Visit to the Arab Organization for Industrialization
On 30 August 2026, State Minister Miyazaki visited the Arab Organization for Industrialization and received a general overview of its initiative including the production of defense equipment and exchanged views.
