On Tuesday, September 15, Defense Minister Koizumi held a video conference with Republic of Korea Minister of National Defense Ahn Gyu-back.
Minister Koizumi expressed his appreciation for Minister Ahn's dedicated efforts to date, recalling that through their numerous meetings and close communication, they had deepened mutual trust and worked together to advance Japan-ROK defense cooperation.
The two ministers welcomed the progress made in Japan-ROK defense cooperation thus far and concurred that they would continue, from their respective positions, to work toward the further development of Japan-ROK and Japan-U.S.-ROK defense cooperation.
