Regarding the international disaster relief activities in the Republic of Indonesia, JGSDF CH-47 transport helicopters started firefighting operations today in and around Pontianak.
The Ministry of Defense and the Japan Self-Defense Forces will continue to make every effort to prevent further damage while ensuring the safety of personnel, in light of the severe conditions in the affected areas.
