JMOD/JMSDF conducted the Ship Rider Cooperation Program with participants from Pacific Island Countries. On board JS Kaga, participants observed exercises, delivered presentations and discussed their respective counties’ perspectives on maritime security, and exchanged views on a variety of topics including international maritime law, and Women, Peace and Security (WPS).
The program also provided valuable opportunities for participants to strengthen exchanges with one another and with JMSDF personnel, promoting mutual understanding and building trust in the field of maritime security.
The program contributed to enhancing cooperation toward maintaining and strengthening a Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP).
