On July 7, Minister Koizumi, who is visiting Türkiye to attend events related to the NATO Ankara Summit, held a meeting with NATO Deputy Secretary General, H.E. Master Radmila SHEKERINSKA.
- At the outset, Minister Koizumi welcomed his reunion with Deputy Secretary General Shekerinska since their meeting in March in Tokyo, and DSG Shekerinska expressed her gratitude for Minister Koizumi’s participation in the NATO Summit related events for the first time as a Japanese Defense Minister.
- Minister Koizumi and DSG Shekerinska exchanged views on regional situations, and they also welcomed the progress of Japan-NATO cooperation, including defense equipment and industrial cooperation and Japan’s dispatch of JSDF personnel to NSATU (NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine).
