- On May 28, the 2nd Japan-Estonia Military to Military Dialogue was held in Tokyo, Japan.
- The Japanese delegation was led by Mr. YOSHINO Koji, Director General for International Affairs (Europe and NATO), Ministry of Defense, and the Estonian delegation was led by Ms. Tuuli Duneton, Undersecretary for Defence Policy, Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Estonia.
- They exchanged views on a variety of issues, including regional affairs and defense policies of both countries. They also discussed the way forward for Japan-Estonia defense cooperation and exchanges and other relevant topics.
- In addition, they signed a Memorandum on Cybersecurity Cooperation. Both concurred to continue to promote bilateral defense cooperation and exchanges in a strategic manner.
