１ Visit to Bali with Defence Minister Sjafrie
On May3, Defense Minister Koizumi visited Bali with Defence Minister Sjafrie and strengthened their relationship of mutual trust.
２ Visit to the Ministry of Defense of Indonesia
On May 4, Defense Minister Koizumi received the guard of honor at the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and was briefed by Defence Minister Sjafrie on the statue of Sudirman who was the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indonesian military and a national hero of Indonesia.
３ Japan-Indonesia Defense Ministerial Meeting
On May 4, Defense Minister Koizumi held a meeting with Defense Minister Sjafrie of Indonesia. They signed the Japan–Indonesia Defense Cooperation Arrangement.
４ Visit to the Kalibata Heroes’ Cemetery
On May 4, Defense Minister Koizumi visited the Kalibata Heroes’ Cemetery (Taman Makam Pahlawan Nasional Utama Kalibata) and laid flowers. National heroes who had contributed to the nation-building of Indonesia and former Japanese soldiers rest in the cemetery.
５ Meeting with Indonesian Graduates of the National Defense Academy of Japan
On May 4, Defense Minister Koizumi met with Indonesian graduates of the National Defense Academy of Japan and officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Defence who took part in the exchange program of field officers organized by Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
