Visit of Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defense Yoshida to Yokota Air Base

On February 12, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defense Yoshida visited U.S. Forces Japan Headquarters and 374th Airlift Wing at Yokota Air Base. During the visit, he met with Lieutenant General Stephen F. Jost, Commander of USFJ and Fifth Air Force, and Brigadier General Kelvin W. Gallman, Deputy Commander of USFJ. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Yoshida expressed his deep respect and appreciation for the members of USFJ, who devote themselves to demanding missions and training on a daily basis to ensure the peace and stability of Japan and the region. His visit underscored the importance of USFJ’s activities, and the strength of the U.S. – Japan Alliance.
