On February 25, Defense Minister Koizumi met with Mr. Michael Needham, Counselor of the U.S. Department of State and Director, Office of Policy Planning. They shared views on the challenging security environment surrounding the Alliance and held a candid exchange of views aimed at further strengthening the Alliance.
