From 29th September to 10th October, we carried out a Capacity Building project aimed at enhancing PNG’s Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief ( HA/DR ) capabilities.
In this project, instructors from the JGSDF Engineer School were dispatched to the Engineer Battalion’s base (Igam Barracks) to provide the PNGDF Engineer Battalion members with skills related to work and safety management in facility machinery maintenance at workshops, as well as to enable them to acquire the knowledge and skills required as supervisors of facility machinery maintenance through the preparation of training plans and the implementation of training.
Through such efforts, Japan will further strengthen cooperation with Papua New Guinea.
