Sep 1-11, JMOD conducted a capacity-building project on outboard motor maintenance for the Tongan Royal Navy. In this project, in addition to the Tongan Royal Navy, Tonga Police responsible for the country’s maritime security were newly included as participants. The project provided education on a series of procedures such as disassembly, inspection, and repair of outboard motors, contributing to the improvement of knowledge and technical skills. This project contributed to deepening Japan-Tonga defense cooperation.
