From September 17 to September 29, the JMOD/JASDF invited three members of the Philippine Air Force, including flight surgeons, to Japan and conducted a capacity-building project in the field of aviation Medicine.

This project is implemented with the aim of supporting the development of the Philippine Air Force's aerospace medical system and contributing to the enhancement of its flight safety and disaster response capabilities.

Wrapping up a 4-year initiative, the invitees participated in practical training at Iruma Air Base, where they engaged in experiential learning using low-pressure training equipment and normobaric hypoxia training devices, as well as exercises on supervising and managing low-pressure training sessions. Additionally, education was provided on the regulations related to aerophysiological training in JASDF and the safety management system during training implementation, contributing to the development of aerophysiological training personnel in the Philippine Air Force.

JMOD will continue to contribute to strengthening bilateral relations between Japan and the Philippines.
