PVM Kaneko received a courtesy call from Mr. Lacroix, UnitedNations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations on Aug 20. They confirmed that both sides will continue to closely cooperate in the field of international peace cooperation.
JMOD/JSDF will actively contribute to international peace cooperation activities by dispatching staff officers to UN peacekeeping missions and participating in UN Triangular Partnership Programme, leveraging accumulated PKO experience and knowledge.
