On May 21st, 2025, H.E. Mr. Rumen RADEV, President of the Republic of Bulgaria, visited Hyakuri Air Base and observed aircraft including F-2 fighter and F-15 fighter, together with Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defense KANEKO.
President RADEV’s visit to Hyakuri Air Base promoted Bulgaria’s understanding of our national defense and contributed to the development of Japan- Bulgaria defense cooperation and exchanges. Japan Ministry of Defense and Self-Defense Forces will continue to work closely with Bulgaria based on the recognition that security of Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific is inseparable.
