On April 28, Defense Minister Nakatani received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. George Glass, the ambassador-designate of the United States to Japan. Minister Nakatani warmly welcomed his assignment to Japan and confirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Japan-U.S. alliance capabilities to deter and respond, and conveyed Japan’s position on mitigation of the impact on the local communities, including preventing recurrence of incidents and accidents.
