On February 27, 2025, commencing at 18:30 for approximately 45 minutes, Minister NAKATANI received a courtesy call by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, H.E. Mr. Radosław SIKORSKI and Secretary of State of Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Poland, H.E. Mr. Paweł ZALEWSKI.

  1. At the outset, Minister Nakatani welcomed Minister SIKORSKI and Secretary of State ZALEWSKI’s visit to Japan. Minister SIKORSKI conveyed his appreciation to Minister Nakatani for hosting the visit. 

  2. Minister Nakatani expressed his respect for Poland’s initiatives, which are playing crucially important roles as the hub of military and humanitarian support for Ukraine on the front lines. 

  3. They shared the view to further promote Defence cooperation and exchanges including unit-to unit exchanges, support for Ukraine, and cooperation through NATO and the EU.

  4. They concurred to continue to work closely together towards further deepening Japan-Poland cooperation.
