On December 4th, 2024, Mr. Pål Jonson, Minister for Defence of the Kingdom of Sweden, visited Maritime Operation Center and received a briefing, and also visited JS Inazuma docked at JMSDF Yokosuka Base, together with State Minister of Defense Honda.
Minister Jonson’s visit to Maritime Operation Center and JS Inazuma showcases the progress of Japan-Sweden defense cooperation and exchanges, and was a great opportunity to share the recognition that security of Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific is inseparable. Japan Ministry of Defense and Self-Defense Forces will continue to work closely with Sweden.
