On Thursday, October 10 2024, Minister of Defense Nakatani held a video teleconference with Kim Yong-hyun, Minister of National Defense of the ROK.
At the beginning, Minister Kim offered his congratulations to Minister Nakatani on his assumption of office. Minister Nakatani expressed his gratitude and stated that he would like to work closely with Minister Kim to strengthen Japan-ROK and Japan-ROK-U.S. defense cooperation.
The two Ministers exchanged views on Japan-ROK and Japan-ROK-U.S. defense cooperation, and concurred on promoting Japan-ROK and Japan-ROK-U.S. defense cooperation, including early realization of Minister of Defense's visit to the ROK.
