- On June 11, the first Japan-UK Vice Ministerial Defense Dialogue was held in London, the United Kingdom.
- The Japanese delegation was led by Mr. SERIZAWA Kiyoshi, Vice Minister of Defense for International Affairs, and the U.K. delegation was led by Mr. David WILLIAMS, Permanent Secretary of the U.K. Ministry of Defence. They exchanged views on the security strategies of Japan and the U.K., as well as regional affairs, and discussed a variety of issues including way forward to promote Japan-UK defense cooperation towards realising a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
