Location Blackrock Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief Camp、Fiji
Recipient 6 Medical trainers from Republic of Fiji Military Forces(RFMF) 
Delegation 2 Officers from Indo-Pacific Regional Policy Division, MOD, 2 Instructors from JSDF Central Hospital and JGSDF Medical Service School

Instructors dispatched from the JSDF Central Hospital and JGSDF Medical Service School provided technical training and advice to RFMF medical trainers as part of a Military Medicine Bilateral Cooperation Project between Fiji and Japan. Training covered techniques for teaching the UN accredited Buddy First Aid Course (BFAC) which is mandatory pre-deployment trauma training for UN Peacekeepers. 

As part of the program, the Director for International Cooperation on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) held a seminar on the importance of women’s participation and gender perspective in UN PKO.

JMOD aims to enhance the military medicine capabilities of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and further deepen the relationship between our forces through future engagements under this project.
