On December 12, Defense Minister Kihara held a telephone conference with U.S. Defense Secretary Austin. The Ministers discussed safety measures following the U.S. Air Force CV-22 Osprey incident and bilateral defense cooperation. In addition, the Ministers affirmed that they will continue to work closely together to further strengthen the Alliance capabilities to deter and respond.
