Location	Waters transited between Brunei and the Philippines on JS IZUMO
Recipient	11 ASEAN military officers and 1 civilian
JMOD/JMSDF conducted the Ship Rider Cooperation Program on maritime security with participants from ASEAN. The program was organized under the guiding principle for Japan-ASEAN defense cooperation known as the ”Vientiane Vision”. The participants exchanged views during seminars on a variety of topics including international maritime law and HA/DR, observed exercises on the ship, participated in a table top exercise (TTX), and took a flight on an onboard aircraft. The program contributed to maintaining and strengthening the idea of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific”.
