Location	Offshore near Singapore on JS IZUMO
Recipient	10 ASEAN military officers and 1 civilian
JMOD/JMSDF conducted the Ship Rider Cooperation Program on maritime security with participants from ASEAN. The program was organized under the guiding principle for Japan-ASEAN defense cooperation known as the “Vientiane Vision”. The participants exchanged views during seminars on a variety of topics including international maritime law, observed exercises on the ship, conducted a navigation communication exercise, took a flight on an onboard aircraft, etc. The program contributed to maintaining and strengthening the idea of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific”.
