From Monday 10 to Friday 28 July, instructors dispatched from the JGSDF Central Band conducted military music training to PNGDF Headquarters staff and members of the PNGDF Military Band. The instructors shared knowledge about the composition of typical military bands, and the facilities and equipment (instruments, vehicles etc.) that military bands require. Additionally, they cooperated on an exam for new recruits and provided guidance on performance techniques.
This project has the goal to maintain and further develop the PNGDF Military Band as an independent and self-sufficient unit into the future.
This project is strengthening the relationship between Japan – Papua New Guinea defense authorities more and more.
