On June 23, State Defense Minister Ino received a courtesy call from VADM Karl O. Thomas, Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet. VADM Thomas was conferred “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star” for his significant contribution to the Japan-U.S. Alliance.
State Minister of Defense Ino offered his congratulations and showed expectation on close ties between U.S. 7th Fleet and JSDF for strengthening Japan-U.S. alliance and maintaining and strengthening a Free and Open Indo-Pacific in this severe and complex security environment.
