On June 13, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defense Onoda received a courtesy call from Major General Joel B. Vowel, Commanding General, U.S. Army Japan. Major General Vowell was conferred “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star” for contribution to the Japan-U.S. Alliance.
