During the project, LPA instructors delivered training on search & rescue, and military medicine to their own personnel in order to improve the LPA’s capacity to deal with storm and flood damage caused by torrential rain and typhoons. The JGSDF assisted and mentored the LPA instructors throughout this training.

This project contributes to further developing and strengthening defense cooperation between Japan and Lao PDR, and to the peace and the stability in the region.
