On January 11 (local time), Defense Minisiter Hamada attended the Japan-U.S. Security Consultative Committee (“2+2”) with Foreign Minister Hayashi, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken in the U.S. They had discussions to further strengthen detterence and response capabilitiers of Japan-U.S. Alliance based on the new strategic documents.
