| From 12 to 16 December, as part of a defense cooperation project in the field of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief, the JMOD/JGSDF invited 14 personnel from the Lao People’s Army to Japan to participate in a capacity building activity. During the invitational event, training on search and rescue, and military medicine was conducted at Camp Shibata, Niigata prefecture, to improve the Lao People’s Army capacity to deal with flooding disasters caused by storms and typhoons. This project contributes to further developing and strengthening defense cooperation between two countries, and the peace and the stability in the region. |
