  1. On October 20, the 7th Japan-Malaysia Defense Cooperation Dialogue was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

  2. The Japanese delegation was led by Mr. MIURA Jun, Director General for International Affairs, Bureau of Defense Policy, Ministry of Defense, and the Malaysia delegation was led by Mr. Azhar bin Mohamad Yusof, Undersecretary (Policy and Strategic Planning) Ministry of Defence, Malaysia. They exchanged views on a variety of issues, including Japan-Malaysia security cooperation and regional affirs, etc. They also discussed the way forward for Japan-Malaysia defense cooperation and exchanges and other relevant topics.
