The JSDF Central Hospital conducts a “Mass Casualties Response Exercise” in order to enhance the hospital’s response posture for mass casualty incidents. This invitational project was held as part of a program to arrange and conduct a similar exercise at the Central Military Hospital of Mongolian Armed Forces to develop its capabilities during disaster relief responses.

At the JSDF Central Hospital, the participants observed the “Mass Casualties Response Exercise” in order to acquire knowledge about how to prepare and direct the exercise.

Additionally, at the National Defense Medical College and its Hospital, they exchanged a broad range of insights and experience on respective medical system, doctor training, medical research, and the COVID-19 response. The site visits provided an opportunity for the Japanese and Mongolian medical staff to further strengthen their professional bonds.

2022 marks the “50th anniversary of Japan – Mongolia diplomatic relations”. This invitational project was one of its commemorative events and contributed to enhancing the relationship between both countries.
