On July 22, Parliamentary Vice-Minister(PVM) Nakasone and U.S. Ambassador Emanuel visited Misawa Air Base, the cornerstone of Japan’s northern defense, and confirmed the progress of Japan-U.S. defense cooperation by viewing the aircraft such as JASDF F-35A, E-2D, and Global Hawk.
PVM Nakasone, the Ambassador, and local commanders held discussion and so did the spouses of the PVM and Ambassador, showing strong bilateral relationship. Japan will continue working closely with the U.S. to secure peace and stability of Japan and the region.
